The one thing the browser cannot do

Automatic SMS detection is Android-only — by necessity

Auto-detection works by reading the bank SMS and payment-app notifications that land on your phone, so it can only run there. A browser has no access to them. Can I use Trakio without an Android phone?

Yes. Trakio Web is a complete expense tracker on its own. You can sign up, add expenses and income, set budgets, track savings goals and loans, split bills, and manage your subscription entirely in the browser. The only thing that needs an Android phone is automatic SMS detection, because reading bank SMS requires the device that receives them.

Do I need to install anything to use Trakio on my computer?

No. Trakio Web runs in any modern browser at trakio.co.in. There is no desktop download, no extension, and no separate account.

How does data sync between the phone and the browser?

Both use the same account and the same database, so there is nothing to link or pair. Each side loads current data when you open or refresh it. A transaction you confirm on the phone appears in the browser on your next refresh, and an edit you make in the browser appears in the app when you reopen it.

Does SMS auto-detection work in the browser?

No, and it cannot. Automatic detection reads the bank SMS and payment notifications that arrive on your phone, so it only runs on the Android app. Transactions captured that way sync to the web like any other, so you still review them on a laptop if you prefer.

Is the web version free?

Yes. Trakio Web is included with your account at no extra cost, on the free plan and every paid plan. There is no separate web subscription.

Can I upgrade or cancel my plan from the browser?

Yes. Plans can be purchased, upgraded, and cancelled from the web dashboard, processed through Razorpay. Your plan applies to both the app and the web because it is attached to your account, not to a device.
