During onboarding, allow SMS read access and notification listener access. Trakio filters strictly to known bank sender IDs — personal messages are never read.

Every bank debit or credit detected from your SMS inbox or payment app notifications appears automatically in the Pending Review section.

Confirm, edit, or dismiss
Tap Confirm to save with the auto-detected category, Edit to adjust the amount or category, or Dismiss to skip. Nothing reaches your expense log without your explicit approval.

Frequently asked questions
Does Trakio read my personal SMS messages?
No. Trakio filters by known bank and payment sender IDs such as AD-HDFCBK or VK-SBIUPI. Messages from personal contacts and promotional senders are ignored before any processing occurs.
Which banks does Trakio support for SMS detection?
Trakio supports SMS from all major Indian banks including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, and more, across 10 languages including English, Hindi, Arabic, German, French, and Japanese.
What happens if I miss a transaction before the feature was set up?
Use the Rescan SMS feature to scan your existing SMS history for past bank transactions. This requires SMS read permission and lets you recover transactions from before you installed Trakio.
Does SMS auto-detection work for GPay and PhonePe?
Yes. For payment apps that confirm transactions via push notification rather than SMS, Trakio uses Notification Listener access to detect those transactions in the same way.
